We’ve always been taught to never give up, to never stop trying. Then, we’ve got this brilliant quote often accredited to Einstein, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” These ideas seem to conflict at first but then you realize a deeper meaning here. The point of this quote is not to discourage trial and error, but to point out that we often live our lives in an endless loop of Monday-to-Sunday. We live in a mundane cycle of events in which we constantly try to be something more, all the while never changing the way we handle life’s challenges. Never give up. However, it’s just as crucial to know when to change tactics. We can’t continue to live our lives a certain way and then complain because it doesn’t generate results. Those who want results innovate.
