I feel like people sometimes misunderstand the profundity behind “slow and steady wins the race.” It’s true meaning can often get lost in the sheer amount of times the story and the saying is retold. To me, the story isn’t about being slow, it’s about having endurance. We’re running a marathon. A marathon that is our lives. Those with the endurance to keep running through and past all challenges will likely finish first, or finish with the most to live for.
